Citizens' comments are below. Each citizen who participated in the project photographed Marine sites and then indicated whether she or he thought the subject of the photograph had a positive value or negative value.

Marine Elementary School

Positives

  • Schools, ball fields, green space - all should be preserved.
  • I value a strong community school for grades K - 6th.
  • We’ve heard good things about the school and look forward to when our kids will attend. We will be very involved!
  • Small, one class per grade level - a real community school!
  • Marine School is an important place to our city. With top test scores in the state, surely this place should be treasured as a wonderful start for children for a long time to come.

Negatives

  • We want to see a second playground not used by school kids - a safer, better one for the little kids. Currently, we have to go to Scandia.
  • The playground equipment is unsafe and obsolete. If the school won’t replace it, the town should.
